Activate your permanent CueStash license, then open Settings → Quick Ask → Subscribe. Checkout starts from the app so Stripe can bind an active subscription to the correct license. Hosted requests stop when that subscription ends; BYOK and local routes remain available.

- Open Settings → Quick Ask.Choose Hosted, a provider key, your OpenAI subscription through Codex, Ollama, or a compatible endpoint.
- Finish that route’s setup.Subscribe through Stripe, save a key in Keychain, sign in to Codex, or confirm the local endpoint and model.
- Press Option–Return.Type or paste a question in Quick Capture. The answer joins the sidecar without blocking the next prompt.

CueStash does not charge for local, subscription, or BYOK requests. Your permanent Mac license remains permanent whether or not you subscribe to hosted model access.
Connect OpenAI, OpenRouter, xAI/Grok, Anthropic, or Kimi. Each key is stored in this Mac’s Keychain and requests go directly from the app to that provider.
Use Ollama on this Mac, or enter the URL of any OpenAI-compatible chat-completions server. Hosted endpoints require HTTPS; plain HTTP is limited to loopback addresses.
Only text you explicitly submit with Option–Return is sent to the selected provider. Your stash is never attached automatically. Read the privacy policy andterms for the exact boundaries.
